I didn’t get a chance to see any intrasquad action, but there was some good verbal on Seifker and Damphousse. I’m not surprised to see either guy considering NCAA strongly.
It’s great that we could get both guys up for a look and to meet some of the players and staff. Depending on how things progress, maybe we will see them in the future.

- Did Nathan Mossey not report, or is he hurt? He's been on scrim rosters but I haven't seen him play Mossey was mentioned earlier in the thread. It's been mentioned that he wasn't on the ice in scrimmages (injury?). Did he opt not to come to camp? He wasn't listed this morning as one of the players leaving camp. He is listed as a "scratch" on the game sheet for tonight's game in Moncton. Mossey was a 5th round selection in the 2021 draft and played last season at Mount St. Charles Academy prep school in Rhode Island. He's from Charlottetown, so if he's even in camp, perhaps he's now here on his own dime and taking longer than the 48 hour window that most prospects have to keep NCAA eligible. Anyone with any insight?

Not a dumb question. Go to the link for the game page: theqmjhl.ca/gamecentre/29548/previewAt the page you can click "scorers sheet" and you'll download a PDF of the game sheet. The lineup the team submits is shown and any extra players are scratches. There's a long list of names not dressed, including guys we have cut and/or left camp on their own.

I think they started doing it mid-season last year.
I only caught it later in the regular season. Provides helpful info.

From what I've been told, Mossey has no interest in the CHL......and not at camp. If he is, it was just for ice time.

I'm pretty sure in the pre-season, it lists the whole protected list as scratched. But yeah it's still very helpfil.

Not entire protected list... no guys like Cormier, NCAA player Ryan Greene, etc...... seems to be on that game sheet list they either have to make an appearance at camp or at least be planning on coming in some time later on (i.e. veteran players). I'm pretty sure in the pre-season, it lists the whole protected list as scratched. But yeah it's still very helpfil.

A lot of guys not in camp are listed though for sure, some who won't be at all.

Sounds like Flanagan has looked good thus far…do we see him making the squad?
Obviously the easy answer is to trade Lapenna, but there has to be a willing trade partner, and to get a somewhat decent return.

Flanagan looked pretty good last night, got a high volume of shots and he played to his size, moves fairly well.

There are a number of possibilities of how things might happen based on the 20 y/o situation.
I know they are high on Flanagan and last night he looked like a guy ready to be a 17 y/o rookie on our team.
Don’t forget…..Satny can also be traded at any time (I.e does not have to happen in a trade window).

I think it's looking more likely we start the year with a 20 and a 19 in net .... simply cannot afford to waste another asset entirely here by giving Lapenna away for free let him build up some trade value..... wait the early league out see who determines they need a vet in net and strike then not sure how the blueline is shaping up but might actually find better trade value in either Trudeau and/or Biakabatuka right now as opposed to taking anything u can get for Lapenna

Lapenna probably will never be worth less than he is now. It makes more sense to to deal one of the D, who both have pretty decent value to a contender. Of course this changes if Trudeau is not in Charlottetown.
