Darcy to the Remparts for a 4th round pick. They must have another Dman coming in because I don’t know why you would move him for that little of a return. Makes the Iasenza trade a bit more confusing. I understand them moving one defenceman, but now they’re down to 6 guys with no obvious replacement in the system. I guess another depth guy must be coming in since you have to imagine the guys they have left should play almost every night |

In all seriousness most of their other young D from the previous 2 drafts are later picks. So you'd have to think one will be acquired unless they wanna move Pavan back to D. |

Also, seems like everyone assumed Moncton would tinker, but mostly look to add some small / cheap pieces. So far it seems like Moncton is going the opposite direction.
I wonder if they try to clear some space upfront so a guy like Mercier can be a top 6 player consistently once everyone is healthy

Wouldn’t surprise me if Moncton acquires someone like Lane Hinkley from drummondville, local guy and there’s rumors of Drummondville moving him…especially now that Lamoreux is back from injury.

Hinkley will likely end up in Cape Breton. He was drafted by Sylvain Couturier. He has family in Cheticamp. |

What should we expect from Darcy? 4th round pick is what I understood. I think they are asking in regards to the type of player Darcy is. Darcy used to play forward so he's definitely a more offensive style defenseman and likes to pinch (sometimes gets caught out of position). He has a nice wrist shot from point and is a good passer so I'd imagine he'll get some time on your PP2. He's kind of the quintessential 5/6 guy you see contenders adding. He has abit of edge to his game although I haven't seen that as much this season. He's been injured most of the year and I found his last couple games have been his best so he's likely only now hitting mid season form. |
