I guess trading him and getting good value makes sense. Is Richard close to being back on the ice or is he already back? I'm actually leaning slightly differently. Bilodeau to Drummondville or Chicoutimi would make a ton of sense (leave the older D to help younger D come in). Richard could play 3rd pair with Cosman at 17, with the 16s pushing in next year (or at Christmas if there is a trade). Right now, our 03 and 04 are more valuable to us. I thought I saw labor day |

If Cosman is 20 and only a 5/6 pairing would it not be more useful to get the younger kids playing at this level.

This your prediction or something you eared. Agree. There might be a deal in place already to trade someone. I would think in a rebuild you would want to give some 06/07 a chance to play in the league. The big question is there any value in the older D for a trade? I'm actually leaning slightly differently. With the limited 06 picks, we dont have the ability to sustain 05 success. Because of that Bilodeau at 20 still won't be in one of our runs. He's also one of the top OFD in the Q already. |

I have no problem with the 16s playing midget, but a 3rd pair OA is rough on a rebuilding team. There are two reasons I'd move Bilodeau. His age means that we can use older D to replace him until we've fully shifted to younger D. Also, he is from that 05s draft class (COVID impacted) so we might have a couple of top assets out of the draft. That being said, I'm not giving him away. |

I’m not an expert but I don’t think Richard has the skating abilities to play in this league on a regular basis he really needs to work on that aspect. I would think they give Dassylva, MacLean or Amyot a shot this year. They could take 2 of them depending on the injury to Richard |

The more that I think about it, the more I can’t see the team running with any combination of Brideau/Robinson/Monaco. I would not be shocked if they bring in a 20 yo goalie through free agency whether it be from the WHL or OHL.

I would agree on getting a goalie. I don’t think Monaco is good enough to play at this level. He gives up to many rebounds.
The D
Really like Gauthier plays a smart game and can hit
Tivey and Bilodeau are good
Dassylva very quick and likes to him in the play. He needs work in his D zone
MacLean impressed me. Makes smart plays and is solid in Dzone. Likes to play the body as well
Cosmen first time seeing him. Did not impress considering he is 20
The 2007 could benefit back in u18
Forwards
Like Beveridge he plays big for a small guy
Mateiko is much faster than I expected
Sinew was not on the score sheet but has skill
Reinhat really like his game
The rest I did not get a good look at.

I am curious with the teams line up. Adding Mann to the team makes the D built more for a team a team making a run. If you look at goaltending it’s not built for a run. Upfront is the top 6 good enough to compete. The bottom 6 what is needed there?
