Watched him last night. His first shift threw a big hit. He moves the puck well and is very good one on one. It will be interesting to see what his looks like in a game against the islanders. Last night was my first time seeing Simex he is very smooth and fast. The game last night was much more intense than the other one I watched. It’s hard to get a read on everyone in a scrimmage. Simek had a very rough first half last year and got better in the 2nd half. He followed that up by being one of Czechia's top 3 players at the U18s. Looking at the roster, SJ is going to have to dress someone tonight that isn't really a rookie or 17 year-old (2 if Daley doesn't play) We could go with guys like Beaudoin, Beaudry, Beaulieu, Bellemare, Beveridge, Calder, MacIntyre, Morin, O'Blenis, Reynolds up front On D, we are stacked with Amyot, Bonnet, Caputo, Cloutier, Duhamel, Fernandez, Lulic, MacLean, Tardif, Vidicek, Warren. In nets, we would have anyone not named Brideau available.

SJ has 18 forwards left (17 if you remove Reynolds who isn't actually playing)

I think Cloutier would help our young forwards that being said it leaves the Seadogs on choosing between Gauthier or Cosman as an OA what do you guys think !!

I don't think there's any chance that they let Gauthier go. He was the captain in Rimouski and is a right handed DFD (would pair wonderfully with Ianniello or Bilodeau). Cosman is in tough IMO. As much as he is a local, he is not only competing against Cloutier for an OA spot, but he would have to make more sense than a guy like Dassylva (keeping in mind that if Gauthier is 1st RD and Tivey/Bilodeau/Ianniello should probably be playing top 4, then Cosman is a 3rd pair OA).

We have 20FW left in camp. With Thifault and Laforge both missing opening night, we could have anywhere from 4-6 cuts left up front. Beaudoin is likely in tough to make it as a 16. That would leave 3 cuts after that with quite a few of the guys who were on the bubble having come in and worked their tails off to try to make it.

That's a weird one. Refs realize that Charlottetown has no doctor present and halt the game.

That's a weird one. Refs realize that Charlottetown has no doctor present and halt the game. Surprised it took them 3 min in to the game to realize. The doctors are supposed to meet with the officials 45 minutes before the game to confirm they are there.
