The Q Draft is a little more then a week away . June 10th . We are sitting in the 8 Spot .....So .....What are yah hearing ? What do yah think Syl does ? I think it's pretty safe to say that he has complete autonomy . Will Goyens still be the Head Coach a week from Saturday ? Have they even talked since that Long drawn out 10 minute Season ending Meeting ?

Per the French board, Chicoutimi is trading16 plus Mann to CB for the Chicoutimi 2024 1st (to complete the Desruisseaux trade). The 2024 1st is believed to be implicated in a Chicoutimi-Val D'Or trade involving Fernandez.

Ok so let me see if I got this right the final trade would look like this.
To Cape Breton: F - Jacob Newcombe 04" D - Matteo Mann 04" 2023 1st Round Pick (16th Overall) - Traded to Blainville-Boisbriand 2023 2nd Round Pick (32nd Overall)
To Chicoutimi: F - Thomas Desruisseaux 06" 2025 1st Round Pick (Cape Breton)
Chicoutimi's 2024 1st in original deal returns to them as it was a placeholder for the compensation pick 16th Overall.
So the Schmitt and Desruisseaux trades are connected and would look like this.
To Cape Breton: D - Brayden Schmitt 04"
Cape Breton's 2024 1st in the original deal returns to them as it was a placeholder for the 2023 1st round pick (16th Overall)
To Blainville-Boisbriand: 2023 1st Rd Pick (16th Overall) 2023 2nd Round Pick (36th Overall) - Traded to Rouyn-Noranda for 06" Justin Carbonneau and 05" Théo Lemieux 2024 2nd Round Pick - Traded to Rouyn-Noranda for Carbonneau and Lemieux 2025 2nd Round Pick

So assuming both google translation and the fan had correct information rumour on the french board was both the Eagles and Rouyn-Noranda were trying to get 04" Euro forward Andrei Loshko from Chicoutimi, Chicoutimi's GM Yanick Jean played both sides off each other trying to get a better deal wanting 8th from CB or 10th from Rouyn.
Rouyn-Noranda supposedly out bid the Eagles since even Jonathan Hudon who covers the Saguenéens reported the rumoured deal for Loshko with Rouyn-Noranda today.
My question assuming all the previous is true is why the hell were the Eagles trying to acquire another freaking 2004" born player if 2024-2025 is the fucking endlessly quoted go for it season, they should be trying to add 2005 born players hell even a trade that saw 2006 born players I would find acceptable,
but trying to acquire another 2004 born player when you've already traded two 1sts, three 2nds and a 16-year old forward you drafted 13th Overall at the previous draft for three 2004 born players that should already be penciled in as your three twenties is ridiculous.
This organization is such a fucking circus that if you didn't know any better you'd confuse it with fucking Hinchey's.

Best import available so you don't have to draft two. Keep in mind thatvwhile Jean is asking for 8, we don't know what Couturier offered (could have been 16 or a 2nd)

Best import available so you don't have to draft two. Keep in mind thatvwhile Jean is asking for 8, we don't know what Couturier offered (could have been 16 or a 2nd) I know he's the best euro available the problem remains he wouldn't of fit our cycle that management has continued to preach is for the 2024-2025 season and whatever Couturier would of offered was probably some combination of the 8th, 2nds or prospects as #16 is already going to Blainville-Boisbriand to complete part of the Brayden Schmitt trade.

Jean wants 8, which means Couturier offered less than that. If RN is dumb enough to offer 10, that should remove CB from negotiations. If it were something like 8 for Loshko and 12 (not that it could happen because 12 is headed to vdo), CB is definitely thinking about it.

We're getting hung up on whatever was potentially offered the main point I was making was why is management trying to spend even more assets on 2004 born players like Andrei Loshko as great as a player as he is when he doesn't match the peak of the Eagles cycle (2024-2025). The management of the team itself has been saying to the fan base its been targeting that season for two years now, if that's truly the case they should be targeting players like Cole Burbidge from Saint John or Vincent Collard from Baie-Comeau who is supposedly rumoured to be available both are going to be 18 this season and would at least fit the cycle they claim they're aiming for that's the point of my frustration. That they're literally not following their own game plan that they've continue to preach to the fan base while expecting us to buy in.

Collard is available but I would be nervous that BC expects payment based on where he was drafted (keeping in mind that the 05s were taken in the COVID season where there was no M18 in Quebec). In a redraft, he's definitely not a top 5 pick in that draft and might not be top 10.

Trades don’t have to make sense for him to make them.
