Hmmm... I wonder how that waiver process works? Is it CHL wide or does every QMJHL team have to pass on him first?

Hope this one isn’t a mistake I don’t like talking bad about ppl but I have yet to see anything that impresses me about Huckins. 🤷🏼♀️ I hope he proves me wrong! |

With all due respect look at the track record. Yes I know Bell has had good numbers at lower levels but Huckins is a proven talent at the Q level. A few pre-season exhibitions and scrims don't really change that. |

My post was only based on the few games I’ve seen Huckins play. I’m open to being wrong and I hope I am. I hope Huckins has a stand out year. I was just surprised based on what I saw. We were at every preseason game. Bell impressed me. It would have been a tough decision no matter who got the cut. Personally I’m just happy to get to cheer Morneau on still  |

It's great to get this settled. It was a tough competition because all of Horth, Bell, Gio, and Huckins are really close in terms of what they bring to the team.
It's too bad it didn't work out for Bell, but when they expressed interest in him, it was long before acquiring Huckins was a possibility. I hope it works out for him in the WHL.
It will be interesting to watch how it goes for him. Remember we walked Bailey Peach a couple of years ago to use Simoneau, Laaouan, and Budgell as our 20's and Peach went out and had a great season in the WHL.

My choices:
C - Gio Morneau
A - Michael Horth
A - Carl-Etienne Michel
A - Marcus Kearsey

Huckins is really good when his off-ice issues are put aside. He's your typical power forward that can skate decently well, throws the body, and has an NHL type release. Watching him in Bathurst at 16/17 was awesome, the potential to be a top end player was there. As soon as he got drafted stuff went down hill. I still think picking him over Bell is the correct choice, he will help you guys win a few extra games this year, and could arguably flip him to a contender at Christmas for an increased value.

Had my boys at the fan fest today all the players were excellent to the young kids one player that was very good with the kids was Huckins he was very interactive with them all. My kids had a blast

Does Hughes get a letter maybe or even Romeo when fighting was allowed those 2 stood up for teammates more than anybody and to me that screams leadership

Topilnyckyj
Hughes
Michel
IMO, they all could wear a letter.
A good thing to have some quality leaders in the dressing room!
