Miller has also looked good and Robinson will be a top goalie at 19 add 3 top 25 picks this year and 3 more next year and 2 new euros we can contend again in 26.

I wonder when the team will have the final roster posted. I wonder what other moves were done.

I can't imagine having only 13 forwards. Can't see them going with 13 (12 if Miller is still hurt - leaves no room for injuries, unless they play an extra D). Wouldn't be surprised if they brought up one of the 17 y/o who were the last forward cuts in August - Beaudry or Beaudoin.

I've been hoping for Beaudry, because he looked like he could play a role on this team.

They have certainly gone all in on this youth movement. I'm still not convinced the 16's aren't better off on a good AAA team rather than a bad SeaDog team but I know others disagree. That's the fun part of having an opinion.

I agree and don’t agree on that! It’s hard with a 16yr old. In my opinion if he cannot develop anymore in u18 sure move him up but if he can still progress there why not leave him there and work on maybe developing the 17yr olds more. This could be a long second half for these young men. We have to remember these guys are just kids that have moved away fromHome to follow their dreams and we should support them now as much as we will In a few years when they are taking a run for a championship.

It looks like the final answer might be 13 8 2 with Pierre-Noel gone. If that's the case, expect to see a lot of 11 7 (not that that is a bad thing)

Here is the email from the Dogs: Sea Dogs announce roster moves following conclusion of QMJHL trade period SAINT JOHN – The Saint John Sea Dogs have made a number of roster moves following the conclusion of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League trade period, the team announced today. I think the atmosphere is pretty bad here our rebuild will probably be for another 3-4 years this is just terrible let’s keep trading away players who would help the kids growing in this league. I think the atmosphere is pretty bad here our rebuild will probably be for another 3-4 years this is just terrible let’s keep trading away players who would help the kids growing in this league. Interesting how much better you can be when you want to be somewhere. I doubt it will be a rebuild for 4 years. Gauthier didn't want to be in Saint John so there was no point in keeping around a 20 year old with a negative attitude around the younger players. If you look back at past seasons after title wins, they either made the playoffs the immediate season after a title win or were shut out of the playoffs. 2012-13 - fire sale at Christmas - Tesink, Gagne, MacAulay. Made the playoffs, drafted Noel, Chabot, Dove-Mcfalls, Joseph - missed the playoffs in 2013-14, bounced in Rd 1 in 2014-15, league semis in 2015-16 and then league champions in 2016-17 2017-18 - big trade in Joe Veleno, every other player moved on to Pro so no chance to recoup assets from them. Missed the playoffs in 17/18 and 18/19 and then Covid reared it's ugly head and threw things out of whack but should have had a good showing in the playoffs (late first round exit or second round appearance) Awarded Memorial Cup in Sept 2021 and for the one trading period had to do what they had to do in order to be competitive at the tournament. 2022/23 - started selling off some pieces from the Memorial Cup run - Lessard, MacDonald, Trenholm - for high second round picks which have so far netted Beveridge, Duhamel and Amyot. I expect, this year, they will miss the playoffs but will begin to rebound next year and then peak in 25/26 and 26/27. It's not all doom and gloom as some on a certain Facebook fan page would have you believe and there is evidence of a clear plan - whether that plan comes to fruition or not remains to be seen.
