2 of Tynan Lawrence, Aiden O'Donnell, and Cam Chartrand would look spectacular here.

I'm sure if the Sea Dogs knew how well Gauthier would perform in Gatineau, they wouldn't have traded him there considering we have their 1st round pick. They were looking like they'd finish last for sure but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Our power play seems to have an unusual amount of success against Victoriaville for some reason. 2 pp goals so far tonight and I believe both goals were PP goals when we beat them 2-1 here.

Does anyone who speaks French know what the Victoriaville announcer said about Tyler Peddle? At the start of the 2nd period he seemed to be apologizing for something unprofessional that he said about him.

Ughhh! That major penalty has let them back in the game.

Ughhh! That major penalty has let them back in the game. Made worse by the recipient being the guy that should have been tossed for the blatant elbow to Amyot's head

He mentioned that he was apologizing for something he said about Peddle back on January 13th, which was the game the Sea Dogs beat the Tigres at TD Station. Not sure what he said during that game though

After our 2-1 win the Victo commentator said that Peedle was a flop not performing as and 2nd overall and said he had no class acting the way he was after the game. So yesterday he apologized. Ughhh! That major penalty has let them back in the game.

That major penalty has let them back in the game. Not surprising he would make those comments, Victo's commentator is known for being a massive homer, calling out referees calls on the air, etc.. One of the worst in the league

Saint John record since the end of the trade period, starting Jan 7th.

Glad we're giving these new young guys a chance to "develop".

The answer seems pretty obvious to me. We have 8 top 9 guys, a bunch of guys that can't skate well enough to play top 9, and two new guys who may or may not be able to skate well enough. If some schmuck who's never played can see that Simek Peddle Beaulieu is stupid because Jacob can't skate well enough at this point, then whoever put them together should have a long look in the mirror. I had no problem with creating playing time, but cutting Akkouche and Pierre-Noel over Laforge seemed questionable.

Thats how it works at this level. Especially after Xmas for a rebuilding team. Are we pretending that players don't "develop" because they're not winning?

Exactly the younger kids need to play now at 16&17 to be able to improve and adjust to the speed of the game. If a kid is 16 and leading U18 in points he needs to be challenged so playing up in the Q will improve his skills quicker compared to playing U18. He might not get the same ice time in a game but he still practices at this speed.

Interesting that we're cheering for both of our NB rivals tonight as each is playing team whose 1st round draft pick we own. One game is going our way while the other is not.
