I dont think we trade Reynolds unless he wants to go but I believe Mateiko will be a wildcat at the draft. \ Reynolds probably has a no trade since he came from NCAA. He does have an NTC. If he wants to go, he will be traded (since he's one of the best OA that could be available).

I suspect he'd waive it to goto a contender in the Martimes. 100% speculation on my part. I have zero inside info if this is true, or if any Maritime teams have showed any serious interest.

Behind the bench for Team Red will be former Saint John Sea Dogs and NHL head coach Gerard Gallant who will serve as the squad’s honorary coach. In addition to leading the Sea Dogs to a Memorial Cup title in 2011 as their head coach, Gallant has coached over 700 games in the NHL and he was awarded the Jack Adams Award following the 2017-18 season as the NHL’s Coach of the Year. Gallant will be joined by Moncton Wildcats head coach Daniel Lacroix who will be Team Red’s bench boss. Meanwhile, on the other side, Team White will be led by head coach Jim Hulton of the Charlottetown Islanders, while Mike Kelly, who has over 30 years of coaching experience in the NHL, AHL, OHL, QMJHL, and U SPORTS, will be Team White’s honourary coach.
Crossing my fingers that Irving will hire Gerard Gallant to take over the wildcats ! Christmas present .. lol

Beautiful play in the pre-tournament game by Mueller with Taibel on the finish. Taibel is now playing in the 2nd league in Switzerland (on a team with Josh Lawrence). Would be great if we could somehow bring him back for the 2nd half Adam Bezak style.

There hasn't been any talk of it and I am not knowledgeable enough to understand what implications him leaving would be on his professional salary/contract going back to junior. It shows he's currently on loan to the 2nd league team and hes only played 8 games with not much production. Him playing on a line with Mueller all tournament cant hurt though. Nice to see Mueller score a goal on Rousseau

Lol...old. get new material. Good example of an admin for sure lol. Horth has what 2 more goals ? That's a period of hockey lol. Horth wishes he had the experience and success as Reynolds. And first ever heard of being a poison. So again. Not a good look for you. We arw fine with keeping the poison. Could surprise and get a series win. Just stupid non educated nonsense. Sorry not sorry. You'll probably be keeping him.....as nobody wants his attitude. And when he remains a Sea Dog......ask yourself why Peter Reynolds traded before the great Michael Horth. Who would’ve thought?

Anyone know the point of this trade? Do we expect any futures involved?
Halifax will be rebuilding in 2026, but still doesn’t make much sense at this stage. If Moncton does plan to go for it next year, I imagine most teams would want 2025 picks and not wait until 2026.

MacKinnon at the draft makes a lot of sense here. That would make sense. They’re losing 2 top 4 defencemen next year so adding MacKinnon would would take pressure off. That said, I’d hope Grenier and AFG could be solid top 4 guys by next year.
