Guimond is listed as not dressed tonight for cedar rapids, he wasn’t listed at all the night that tweet came out so I wonder if that’s the hold up on any official announcement

Unfortunate for the player to sit and wait, but Cedar Rapids basically has all the leverage now that it's leaked |

I think that was more of a comment of his gameplay.. He’s not a cats fan so probably didn’t know lol but yes, I’m not sure of these rumours of Guimond coming in are in his head or what but needing steinman to play the 3rd tonight isn’t great |

Crazy how much of a difference it can make on a team, momentum wise to have a few goals go in. Quebec pushed pretty hard once back in the game.. Steinman got the job done in the third, otherwise the outcome could have been different.
Push this game aside and focus on the next big two. Glad we squeezed a win out.
Curious to know what the hold up is on Guimond, tonight would have been a great test for him.

Precedent has already been set. Holding players for ransom in a league where they don't get paid isn't a good look. Sounds like something that could end up in court and if it's anything like how the NCAA court cases have gone this won't end well for them. |

While I don't think the amount is 50k, there are set player transfer fees that do need to be paid to the USHL club and the USHL club also has to release the player. |

While I don't think the amount is 50k, there are set player transfer fees that do need to be paid to the USHL club and the USHL club also has to release the player. The form I'm looking at on the USA hockey site shows $5000 for CHL. Having an owner randomly decide its now $50K or $100K just doesn't seem tenable in the long run, in particular this case we have a player whos from Quebec trying to return to their home country to play. |
