Yes well when you show "Get Loud" or "Make Some Noise" or whatever on the video screen about 50 million times a game the effect tends to wear off. That combined with the fact that they'll put "Get Loud" up there for just about any situation. Oh look the Cats just iced the puck...time to GET LOUD They had their chance to use the scoreboard as an effective tool to get people more into the game and they screwed it up by over use.

Then again maybe people just don't like being told when to cheer anyways. I certainly don't miss Richard Gauthier yelling GO CATS GO into the microphone every 5 minutes

Don't feel bad...our music is no better...we keep hearing the same songs over and over and over again....sometimes the same song 3 time in the 1st period....

I think it was Wild Willie doing the Bird Dance, but you are right. It got the little ones excited during the intermissions.

A couple of years ago, I was at a Mooseheads Moncton game in Halifax while St Mary's was playing in the Vanier Cup. In the upper bowl they had tv's with the game on. Watch the hockey game while it's on, watch the football game during whistles and intermission. I noticed the Coliseum has tv's in that horrible canteen area so why not put a game on. On Sunday's they could put an NFL game. I can see a potential problem; everytime Moncton would have a power play, all the guys would run out to the canteen area to watch the football game. Some of you should cheer up a little, it's only hockey and it's not like if you are playing.

Its this contest where earlier in the game where they announce a number to call when you hear the ring for a $80 phone package throught Alliant or something. Later when the phone goes off over the PA its this loud screatching phone ring that digs into your ears and into your brain, similiar to nails on a chalkboard.

I think the team might be listening to some of the ideas in this thread ... last night the music was better, and the announcer introduced the players ... good job guys.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe its a start up coupon at that....so if I was able to call from a cell phone would I really need a new cell phone and account???

I agree. Hopefully they will also look to find a less annoying ring tone for the Aliant contest.

I thought last night was even worse. Marty did the intros but then the players did their intros as well. No need for them both to do it. Show their picture on the screen and let Marty do his thing.

I'm really starting to think there's someone reading this board.. we complained about the intros & it was changed.. we complained about the Tomar goal horn being gone & it came back.. now tonight I noticed the cell phone ring was different or at the least a lower tone.. well what else do we want.. seems someone's listening..
