You're kidding right? Most of the trades in junior are made due to age restrictions. That has no bearing in a pro league. The philosophies in building a pro team versus a junior team are different by leaps and bounds.
Sure, an expansion team at any level starts from scratch. But really that's where the similarities end.

We are talking about starting from scratch both leagues start with draft picks and cast offs not exactly different by leaps and bounds yeah the NHL is the pros but they still have to compete with teams already with established teams. Anyway this is only my personal opinion that's all I think an expansion team can use the fact that they are an expansion team for more then 1 season but people don't have to agree with me that's your opinion too. Any hoot let's talk trade talk I think I have contributed enough to us getting off the beat'n path ;D |

Well what ever is done is due to the long term goals of our team. JB has more than showed he has a keen eye for talent and progression. What ever he chooses to due I Trust and we should. His record so far speaks for itself.. Compare us and the Fog Devils since the JB hiring. ! going up and 1 going down. defence rests!!!!

The Devils are playing there best hockey compared to any previous season. The real measuring stick will be next season seeing what each team dose then. I wouldn't put so much stock into your meteoric rise being because JB is soo much better then anyone else. He went out and brought in 4 20's finally settling on the 2 you have now and no one really know what he has given up to get those guys yet. Unless your going for it this season I don't really see how it helps. |

I don’t deny that, JB is WAY better then your previous management but the Devils comparison isn’t quite how it looks, the Devils have stumbled a bit but are a better team then we’ve seen also without Howes and PH we would more the likely be neck and neck with you guys. Personally I’d like to see you guys go for it this year, you have the 20’s an addition or two and the Dogs could surprise a few people. With the early trades for the 20’s it makes you wonder if JB figures he’ll do what it takes this year and just hope for another good showing next season.

Hmm. I'll cast aside personal beliefs and wants and just try and analyze the situation. It might come down to how we play between now and the end of the trading period. Oue schedule breaks down as this:
10 home games and 7 away games. A better look at it though has us playing 3 road games late in the trade period (Jan 3-6).
So up until end of December we have a home-heavy schedule. If that leads to us putting up a decent amount of wins maybe they will try and make a deal or two for this year and see how far they can go.
On the flip side if we play bad in that stretch of home games that could kill any thoughts of trading to improve for this year.
Just my thoughts while praying for time to speed up so we can get to tonights game.
