As for people complaining about booing Esposito all I have to say is stop taking things so seriously. God! No one personally hates him. Its all in good fun. I'm sure he loves it. I certainly would. We love it. He loves it. He was having a good laugh about it every shift, as is, I'm sure all of the fans. It is all in good fun.

No doubt Espo loves it because when he ends up in Pitt playing for millions of dollars with Sidney Crosby and Co. he won't even remember who the heck we even are or care for that matter lol. Then again with any luck Grant will remind him once in awhile ;D

To all you POLITICALLY correct crybaby's out there "KISS MY ASS"!!!! This is hockey A SPORT!! not ballet, not the Opera and certainly not romper room!!! If you see or hear something you dint like feel free to point and say Johnny thats NOT how to act!!! This will not go away!!! Fans WILL heckle, scream, BOO "thank god" and have fun at games!!! When the uptight accountant types take over Canada's favorite past time I will stay home and watch!! I truly feel for the ownership group that continues to work their asses off to give you crybaby's a great entertainment experience only to be shot down at every angle!!! Are OUR fans at all QUEBEC games? Why are there so many incidents involving the Ramparts?? Think about that, if you are capable. I could go on and on about politically correct S.O.B's but I will stop for now and remember last nights great game memories only to be ruined by complainers after probably our biggest win EVER!!! TATA!!! Hey, some of us accountants are awesome hecklers.

I could go on and on about politically correct S.O.B's but I will stop for now and remember last nights great game memories only to be ruined by complainers after probably our biggest win EVER!!! Was this cut and pasted from another thread? I could swear I've read that one before about one hundred and eighty two times. I looked over the thread again and didn't see one word that seemed to indicate some kind of political correctness, but hopefully someone will pucker up for you. And uptight accountant types? Made me laugh at least, due to how nonsensical it is. Romper room, the QMJHL is not. Last time I checked it wasn't The Jerry Springer Show either. WHO THE HECK IS COMPLAINING ABOUT FANS CHEERING FOR THEIR TEAM OR BOOING/JEERING THE OPPOSITION?!?!? I get a kick out of the booing of Esposito like many others do, and have no problem with cat calls during the game. The issue being discussed is over-the-top comments being made as the opposition leaves the ice. What purpose does this serve? It appears nothing, other than possibly to give the commenter some lame sense of satisfaction or to put Seadog fans in a position to get hurt when an opposing player has had enough. What may or may not have been said to Desfosses has no bearing since no one knows. It's just most likely something over the top was said, otherwise what would bring on a reaction like that from an otherwise sane 20 year old. If a group of people swat at a bees nest, it's likely someone's gonna get stung. If Desfosses struck a fan he should be penalized, but I'd go out on a limb and say that's the kind of reaction post-game hecklers are looking for, though they'd never admit it. This point seems to be ignored by some ranters around here, who between general insults to the rest of the posting public seem to continue to feel that they aren't allowed to cheer at the games. Crybabies? Have a look in the mirror. Oh yeah, and Rick - still waiting for you to answer my question and get your 2 cents on post game heckling. Not trying to incite ariot, just seriously would like to read it.

Yeah, I don't know what was said as I wasn't there, but surey something was said by someone to provoke that reaction. So is that where your own line is drawn? 19 or 20 year olds you can say whatever disparaging comments you want, even after the game (when the outcome is in no doubt), but 17 and under you stay quiet? Just wondering... You said yourself that you weren't there and dont know what happened yet you continue to criticize people's behaviour based on assumptions you are making? WTF? ?? And what does this have to do with the pot and the kettle. The guy who was criticizing the players behaviour was NOT one of the hecklers. So how is he a hypocrite? And even if he was one of the hecklers, there is a world of difference between heckling and assaulting a young child with a weapon. Clearly logic is not one of your strengths. juliansteed, I gotta admit you lost me on that. Who did I criticize exactly, that got you all hot and bothered? Just let me know and I'll forward the apology, but you're making no sense to me. And I assume when you talk about 'the guy criticizing the players behaviour' you mean Canucklehead. But maybe I shouldn't be assuming anything with you. I never called Canucklehead a hypocrite, again you got confused. I'll try and explain it in a different way: Canucklehead made a sarcastic comment about the incident being 'classy stuff' from the Remparts. What I was saying in response is that one could also make a sarcastic comment about the post-game hecklers being 'classy'. Make sense to you yet? If not, PM me and I'll do my best to help.

i cant believe everyone isnt in an agreement on this !!!
does it really matter at all what the heckler said ?? you cant swing your stick at a fan , kid or an adult
ive been heckled many times growing up and i loved every minute of it !! it always gave me a place to go when i scored , right where the hecklers were
im no saint once got suspendid in hs hockey for 2 weeks for swinging (not connecting ) my stick at a fan in blacks harbour . he spit on me 3 times after the 2nd time i warned him he do it again he will eat my fn stick he spat so i stood up and swung . i was 16 at the time the following 2 years i was enemy #1 in blacksharbour but i was never spit on again .
looking back i shoulda prolly never have done it but like i said ive been told many things and always returned a smile

From what I've heard about Blacks it's about as friendly an arena as Chicoutimi seems! I've never been but I've played against a team from there and the players seem to match the crowd you describe. Tough crew.
