So what the sea dogs are doing by signing this guy is that Knox is gone pretty much gone unless they make some more stupid mistakes. Way to go sea dogs, you screwed his last year in jr hockey. ;D Am I right??? Hmmm not sure how he'd be screwed??? Are you talkin Q Jr or Jr A not that it matters alot he could still play in both leagues as far as I know and he may not be the guy leaving. How is picking up a 90-100pt player a screw up I love this move! |

the board will remain shitty thanks to that comment. no one will ever mature enough to shut the hell up . i havnt did anything in a really long time but yet u have to act younger then me. good job boys. Not like the mods do anything about it. If i did it they would though. Just how it is

my thoughts on the move...
i watched the pei game and stoddard-anthony-kirkpatrick don't seem to have any chemistry. their skill allowed them to make passes and hold the puck but they didn't generate chances.
also, the team played for mayer (something they have never done for any goalie).
I see something like:
Liske - Picard - Dido
K. Charland - Leduc - Gauthier
Anthony/Stoddard/Kirkpatrick - Sparling - F. Charland
Thomas - Knox - Gallant
being a lineup we can be comfortable with. Passingham needs to get a start in the next few games to see if the team will play for him too, because that would probably spell the end of Travis.
If there are problems with Knox, I could see JB having another chat with Charette. I think he might reconsider now.

Not sure if thats something JB is looking at but it could in fact be a run. Players such as despres and a few others I cant think of at the moment have turned heads with talent as first years, so maybe JB can take advantage and maybe make saint john a contender?

this is a good move for the dogs IMO, your not sacrificing to much, it will give your team a goal scorer and will give your young players a wining attitude. I don't think you have a run for the cup(I don't expect a third year expansion team to be a real contender) but still a good move.
I've always liked the way this team was built(from D to FW) and I think you will end up reaping the benefits from it. Good D it hard to get.
I predicted you 5th ahead of moncton. But with this trade and maybe a trade at Xmas(which I hope they don't sell the farm in the illusion that they might have a chance for the cup) you might go as far as third
