Surprise ! Surprise ! here is another opinion and guess what it puts Matheson #6 in terms of 'Q" D-men only and yes he has seen many many games in which Matheson has played, in fact he states that during the very important playoffs Matheson was used as a foward because he is not defensively responsible, based on this maybe we should draft Matheson to fill a forward spot for our rebuilding effort the site of this analysis is quebechockey.blogspot.com/

They didn't listen to the Fans and comments on this board mikeb, back in the 2007/08 season when they were told that we needed defencemen in our run for the title, however they unwisely choose to go with more offence (Marchand) and it cost the G/M his job and as you stated it was a disaster, and yes you are right again you are an amateur and do produce a lot of garbage on here.

"Michael Matheson cemented his status as a first round draft pick, and an early pick at that. His consistent progression throughout the season was very, very impressive and he ended the season as not just a good player, but a dominant one."

If Matheson was a forward, he would still be a top 5 pick...and he only played forward for a couple games and he scored twice. No where in that blog did it say he wasnt defensively reliable... Also the guy who wrote that blog is all over the map on his rankings....Tremblay as the 6th best goalie for example...he might go 6th overall...

LOL are you serious? Trading for Marchand didn't cost Patenaude his job. That was a trade forced on Patenaude. What cost MP his job was a difference in philosophy between the owners and the coach (who had more juice than the GM). Smith inherited MP so it makes sense to bring in his own guy. Also everyone was going on about Giroux vs Marchand...that was the discussion of the day then. Fans were not discussing "we should not get either of those two and should just get a D" The moment a team listens to it's fans it's the time to fire the management. [Mod discussion] Also - please keep personal insults out of your post. Calling someone an amateur is not an insult, it's a fact (as we are not paid professionals). Just don't start getting personal in your attacks or you start to walk a fine line. - Note you haven't crossed any lines yet but you seem to be getting closer to it with your emotional posts. So take a deep breath and exhale.

Here are scouting reports. www.metronews.ca/halifax/blog/post/518508When I read it, all I can see is Russell trading down and selecting Mr. Work Ethic O'Brien, just so we can have a team full of Brent Andrewses.

So take a deep breath and exhale. The amount of knowledge Lala has about AAA prospects makes me wonder if he is not a professional poster. Seems to have a good grasp on it. LOL. Think he may be on CSR payroll. Maybe he just has alot of time on his hands.

I produce a lot of garbage unlike you who should be running a major junior team somewhere.... I remember when everyone on these boards were saying that Rimouski needed a defensive minded dman back in 2005. Instead they went out and did the opposite and got an offensive minded dman. Instead of listening to the wise people of these boards they got Mario Scalzo Jr. and ended up with a President's Cup. How stupid of them!!

The coaches opinion would carry more weight than the G.M's in that situation when the coach has 10% of the ownership in the bank !! More or less than 10% I guess.

So according to the blog and my "drafting for dummies" handbook, If B.C. takes Matheson we should take Campiani?
