I haven't been able to see all of camp this year so I THINK this is accurate... please correct anything that needs to be corrected. I didn't really pay attention to forward positions, just wanted to get a general feel for the team. Of course this is likely a 20 year old to be added to this mix...
FORWARDS MacDougall (20) /Horyl (20) /Hertzberg (19) Dion (19) /Cuzner (18) /Shaw (18) MacIntosh (18) /Bergeron (18) /Plouffe (18) Jodoin (17) /Parker (17)/W. Carrier (16) A. Carrier (17) /Farrell (16)/ Grenier (17)
DEFENSE Ellis (18) /Hrabrenka (18) Woodworth (17) / Fournier (19) Larade (18) / Herrett (18) Engert (17) / Leduc (16)
GOALIES verroneau (17) / Lacerte (19)

They took the route that I thought would best give them a chance at the Memorial Cup. This team will struggle but gain serious experience. A very young team that will be lucky to win 25 games with that defense and goaltending.

I think that Bergeron and MacIntosh might be in tough . I have not heard anything but they may opt to go with Cochrane and maybe Boutlier..............nothing more than a hunch .

His big 20 year old addition Guildon was cut also...................and another year of Team Toughness as Millman gets cut . Super Mario put this thing together pretty quickly , he is a man who knows what he likes.........................................and doesn't like ! Now wait for the spin he puts on this thing !

What is the feeling about adding a 20 year old? Should it be a D to solidify our very young and inexperienced defense or a potential top 2 line forward to give the team more scoring?
Final forward cuts should be interesting! However, if an 18 year old doesn't really bring that much more "game" than a 17 or 16 year old with unknown potential, than it shouldn't be that tough a decision!

Bottomline is expecting this organization to ice a contender in 12 months in a pipe dream....especially when key parts need to be in place in 4 1/2 months by the end of the trade period. Who are we trading to restock the cupboards? That's always been the complaint from me....trading too deep means not enough comes back to capitalize on the trade market and that's where teams rebuild in this league.

I think our D, while young, should be given the ice time...especially our new Euro and Leduc when added to Ellis, Fournier, and Woodworth. So i'd be after a forward but i'd also just take the best player at the cheapest price and let the ice time settle itself.

Leduc needs some icetime... to learn how to skate... not sure he should be doing this skating during a Q season... a year in Junior A perhaps

Part of this was already posted on "cuts" thread, but what does it all mean?
Which player(s) are most likely to be final cut(s), especially since several had positions to loose and since 4th line vets will be kept for 3 months, as of this morning?
Also of note, nothing mentioned about vacant 20 year old spot!

Of that group, I'd say MacIntosh is the first to go. Unless Mario wants to send Farrell or the younger Carrier away to play another year at a lower level, but, that wouldn't seem to make much sense....then again....
I can see Shaw/Dion playing anywhere from the 2nd - 4th lines this year. Especially if Logan is playing like he did last year, I expect him to be playing on the 3rd/4th line.

Christopher, if you take Mario at his word, MacIntosh, Bergeron and maybe Parker (wasn't he considered as a returning veteran last Spring but Riguse was named then also, so?) are safe for 3 months.
Then you had the group that had positions to lose and haven't lost them yet so that sort of leaves the older Carrier, Grenier and maybe Engert as the players most at risk.
But then again, I've misunderstood Mario before.
