I assume that they will keep it pretty confidential, like injuries last year.

So much for this season. Wow Forget about this season, double hip surgery at 19… you gotta start worrying about long-term issues as well.

Wow if true very unfortunate for Dumais and Hfx. with Dumais i still put Hfx behind BC Rouyn Dru and possibly even Victo now without him this team doesnt compete in a 7 game series with the teams i listed above. hopefully people dont blame Cam to much because halifax still bought with one foot in one foot out at the deadline.

As much as Dumais is an elite scorer I don’t see the team taking a massive blow in his absence, it’s the absence of multiple guys that will hurt the team. Especially if one or both of Vidicek/Cataford go out, I think Levesque and Crosby will get back to their form come playoff time.
In my personal opinion I think Baie-Comeau and Halifax have the best line structure out of the teams while Rouyn Noranda and Drummondville have the deadliest offence.
Everyone just needs to believe and trust the process, we haven’t had a near healthy roster yet this season, just a wait until Reynolds, Denis, Sprynar, Levesque, Crosby amongst our other guys are all together, we’ll be kicking in no time.

So much for this season. Wow That might explain why no Mianscum or other bigger names - and the addition of Luke McPhee. Don't think that has to do with it. The diagnosis came yesterday. But look at how much Henneberry went for - so Mianscum would have been not much cheaper... It would have been a big futures deal as we didn't have any picks to really work with. Honestly, these lines don't look bad at all. Dumais would have been great to have but we shouldn't put our heads down. Let's see what these guys can do. They have proven many people wrong. Especially those that were expecting only losses in the last month. And at the end of the day team chemistry may matter more than the skill of individual players - let's hope our guys find this chemistry.

Dumais is "only" out 2-3 months so he could be back on the ice in the second round to suit up for the third round if they make it that far.
Best case scenario I know but I feel obligated as an outsider to keep an eye on the Moose fans at the edge of the cliff.
Don't mistake this for sympathy though. After 2020,I'll never feel bad for a CHL team or their fans.

Henneberrys value is different where he's 19 although I still find that price to be insane. I don't see why Mianscum would cost much different than Gendron which was a 1st,3rd and 4th. If I had to guess though Halifax had no intentions of moving their 2025 1st if they intend to sell next year. In particular for a 20 year old so they couldn't find a way to make that work. Sherbooke has a shot at home ice in round 1 and has 1st round picks in 24/25/26 so I can somewhat see why they kept Mianscum & St Hillaire but I think id be frustrated as a Phoenix fan not finding a buyer for Mianscum. Once Rimouski got Miller St Hillaire didn't have any obvious destination.

What sucks is we have to learn this from Quebec journalist and not the Mooseheads . Double hip surgery he won’t be back this year I assure that !!! Season over for the Moose this year although I wouldn’t rule out Dumais returning to junior next year maybe we can captilize on this as he would garner a good return .

Dumais won't be back in Junior next year, he can play in the AHL. CBJ will want to monitor his recovery and putting him in Halifax does nothing for his growth. This news sucks but that is life, you can't control the uncontrollable. Think how Moncton felt after loading up in 2020 to only have the season cancelled. Sad to see a great Junior career end abruptly and I do hope this doesn't slow down his development too much.

Mooseheads weren’t winning jack shit this year anyways even with Dumais in the lineup. Talent wins in this league. Without Dumas you still have 2 of the leagues leading point getters. We all agree Dumais would be #1 if he played a regular schedule. Halifax would have had the leagues top 3 scorers if Dumais, Cataford, Vidicek played a 55 or so game schedule together. Halifax was going deep in round 3 at worst with a healthy lineup. Hell they may do that even without Dumais.
