The Gendron thing is interesting. As for teams believe in their chances in the playoffs - I think that might just be a bargaining tactic. I'm sure some teams actually are, but... there are several teams I don't believe their GM actually believe that. A team like Sherbrooke actually might be serious, a team like Bathurst, probably not. Exactly. It's Nov 17th. Just a bunch of bullshit GM speak they know will reach the ears they want. It's always shakes down the same. 5-6 teams go all in. 5-6 tinker or do nothing. And 5-6 sell whatever isn't bolted down Yup as if Sly is not gonna be active during a trade period and it's Lalancette writing the shit...... just spewing garbage for a paycheque as usual there will be plenty of trades

What teams will be looking to improve their D? SJ will be sellers but what do they have that teams might want? I would think Tivey might be the only one. Reynolds for sure will be on the market. Guys like Elie, Bilodeau, Mann, and the two euros could be moved if teams are looking for guys that will be around for more than just this season

What's Drummondville doing with Tyler Peddle? 5 pts in 22 games this season? You'd think by now, either Peddle or the Volts would be seeking a change of scenery.
Is he playing a checking role and he and the team are happy with that or something?

Can’t imagine anyone is happy with how things are playing out in Drummondville at this point. Player, team or Columbus.

I'd take him on at the right price... but somehow I think Drummondville wouldn't want to ship him off to Halifax. If they have to move off of him I see them preferring to move him to Charlottetown or Cape Breton. The Islanders actually make quite a bit of sense.

Peddle to Cape Breton ? ...........Well it's all new cooks in the Kitchen here now but the way the Former President ,GM and Head Coach handled the Peddle Recruitment last time I wonder if his Father would give a move to Sydney his Blessing . All that aside , when he was 16 years old , Sam Cosentino had him as a Top 20 CHL Player in terms of his impact , future etc ........slam dunk to be a World Junior Team Member .......that begs the Question to be asked .....What has happened to this Kid ? He was a missed Timeout at the NHL Draft away from not being picked . Columbus must have had him on their list ranked a little higher as they made a deal to make him Mr Irrelevant with the Last Pick of the 2023 NHL Draft . I would be open to him coming here but only at a Bargain . I wouldn't deal a 1st or 2nd or anybody named Murphy, Pilling or Foley . Syl will move those without a doubt but not for a Peddle .......but I guess the Key Thing is What will Drummondville want for him ?

There seems to be two factions with Eagles' supporters - those who think they need to add a couple of pieces now to at least be competitive on the scoreboard at home games rather than possibly tanking the season - and those who will fault moving any fairly early draft picks - even though they have a stockpile. It's probably going to be somewhere in the middle what they do. They have 1 1st over the next 2 drafts. They've traded their own 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each of the next 2 drafts. I don't know if stockpile is the proper word in a league where rebuilding teams stock up on high picks and CB is trending to trade deep next year to try and win and force another long rebuild. If you were cheering on a .500 team would you be a fan of them trading their draft picks vs focusing on developing talent they have in the system? 11th ranked team in an 18 team league. We can now safely say solidly behind Moncton and Halifax. Best case is home ice in round 1. Thats not a team that should be spending its 1st and 2nd round picks on veterans. No matter which faction of a fan base you side with.

The issue here is refusing to see the team for as it is. If you have a .500 team....you have a .500 team. Recognize that. Save your draft picks. Get younger and let a coach who seems to have some development happening around a defensive system have more time with younger players. That is how you win in this league, not buy stocking up on veteran depth. By developing it from within. We were at our best when we were developing those players. Now we're a temporary stop for them. Eventually we change that or this cycle of mediocrity never ends.

Roy + pick + Rottondi or Goyette for Horth maybe? I hope not!! what's a realistic deal for Horth then? An OA + high pick + young player who's a former 1st rounder seems around normal for an OA player.
