Its hard to believe that this is happening.......why is this so difficult for the powers to be? There is a HUGE problem with the coaching situation. I think Serge should swallow his pride, open up the pocket book and send Jean packing, period. What are the other owners of the team thinking? ?? Do they not have a say in this? If I was part owner of this team I would be interested in fixing the situation and fast. The fans just want to see a team try on the ice. The boys look so disorganized out there, why? The coach has to take some responsibility for what is happening. If Jean were with any other team in the Q he would have been gone LONG ago. Take charge Serge, NOW!

I don't think Serge's house is for sale, I was just by there a few days ago and there is no sign up. Lots of houses for sale without signs in the front yard...

i know.. i was one of the 1st to suggest he was over his head.. and was told many times to cut him some slack I was also saying it in the first year, I thought it was pretty clear when the Rocket went on that 13 game or so winless streak. When the season started last year I said it again only to be told I was dumb for saying it. He should have been gone after his first season.

Heard today they could pull the plug on Jean as early as tomorrow. As Dogpound would say "stay tuned". Lets hope its true we need a fresh start

Firing Yannick Jean? It seems to make too much sense to happen.
I hope it happens though. Then Savard can stop whining about attendance cause firing Yannick will boost attendance..

Serge isn't "whining" about attendance.
He has mentioned it a few times since last year, but since it's true, why wouldn't he?
As for the rumor about the firing, it had better be true!
The plot thickens.

it's all about perception doggy... when there is no cleaqr evidence of a plan being followed to a) build a winner or b) boost attendance.. and you "mention" it every chance you get while also conveniently not mentioning what you are actually doing.. it can be perceived as "whining"
just my two cents.. i really would love for honest and open Serge to talk about the past 2 plus years in depth and why everything the Rocket have seemed to try has failed ... wait what is the one constant about those 3 years... jean

If I recall we had a coach here approx 3 years ago that no one liked and he was voted coach of the year in the NHL. Go figure!
I agree that a coaching change may be required but believe the selection process used by the Rocket management needs major help. Do we get someone new that is not qualified or get Jean some help?
I also think that you cannot blame the coach entirely for the poor results thus far.
The players have to think of playing hockey as a job. They applied for a job and got it. It turns out that they may not like the boss/coach so they decide not to give 100%. For those of us in the working world we would be fired or reprimanded if we did not meet the expectations that were required to perform our job. If the veterns are not performing they should take a seat on the bench and let the rookies get some ice time. What have we got to lose by letting the rookies get some ice time. It would be a wake up call for the veterns if they had to watch the game from the bench for a few shifts rather than from the ice service. The worse that could happen would be that the veterns might not to take their ice time for granted. The players/coach need to show respect for each other and the fans who are paying to watch their lacklustre performance. So the players don't like the coach so won't play for him,,,,,,,, too bad. Suck it up and move on and play the type of hockey that got them here in the first place. I am sure that every employee doesn't love the boss they are working for but we still have to show up for work and perform. Trade time is fast approaching. Get busy or be gone.

sounds good observer.. but umm how can you have the vets sit on the bench when the coach sends them out every second shift?
nice analogy on the workplace.. i do agree.. something else tho to think about it.. unhappy employees are not nearly as productive as happy ones... and unhappy employees spread their posion to the workplace if not dealt with
