Heard this from a friend via e-mail this morning...Can someone with close ties to the mgmt or players PLEEEEASE confirm or deny this? I have no idea where he got the info from so take it with a HUGE grain of salt:
"Yannick Jean, is GONE!
The players were Informed once they stepped off the bus when returning home to the civic centre from Cape Breton.
about 2 wks ago, Savard even called Kevin Devine (vancouver canucks assist coach - from kinkora area). so he's been looking for a replacement. If he's found one... i have not heard"
If this is true, what are people's thoughts?

I've heard rumors that this was in the works, and they were just waiting for his successor to confirm that he wanted the job. So we shall see.

We could only hope but I hope the sudden Rocket win streak make Serge start to think about keeping him.

Tell me its true.....tell me he's gone, that would totally make my Monday morning so much better after the sox moved on....
It'd be about freaking time......and i doubt the streak will keep him around....even tho they have been winning, the wins haven't been all pretty.
He wasn't quoted in the paper tho this morning about the game so maybe, just maybe FINALLY his days are done, bout freaking time!

Great news! Worthy enough of a Dwight Schrute fist pump to the tune of Rock and Roll Part 2.
