I have no problem with the trade or return, but I did think he and Sampson would have regular 4th line roles next season. Moncton doesn’t have many forwards in the system that would push for a role. It seems like Schlender is having a bit of a disappointing season in AAA. Moncton can easily fill the 4th line roles with trades or free agents so certainly not worried, just a bit surprised I guess. I could possibly mean maybe someone is incoming Easton Schlender is the call up for tonight. |

Even if you bring up Cormier there's really no playing time for him when everyone's healthy. If he comes up I'd assume it's more about Deslauriers wanting a trade then making room for Cormier. Victo doesn't have as much depth after the top 6 so he should be able to get in the lineup every game there. The 4th line is a 1st round pick, a euro and a 20 year old. Glas isn't bringing a whole lot but based on the first half it seems they want him in the lineup every night. If they cats want to add anyone with the intention of playing them they will need to trade another forward. Same situation on D. They could rotate Glas and Cormier, doubt they go with only 12 forwards. |

Beautiful play in the pre-tournament game by Mueller with Taibel on the finish. Taibel is now playing in the 2nd league in Switzerland (on a team with Josh Lawrence). Would be great if we could somehow bring him back for the 2nd half Adam Bezak style. Moncton is eligible to, but would he come back? He's not coming back but it's fun to dream. He looked great out there against some of the best junior players in the world. Mueller almost scored one of the biggest goals in WJHC history yesterday with a fancy deke through his legs before getting poke checked by the goalie. What could have been if they had upset the hometown Swedes. |

Pretty quiet for wildcats fans , no rumours .. nothing , looks like they are going with the team we have , its a good young team with scoring depth , good goaltending, mobile defence , only wish they would get a physical Defenceman

I'm guessing they are hoping they can buy cheap at the last minute, and theres not much reason for them to overpay. If the prices stay high they should just stand pat, theres not really anyone they can afford that would put them ahead of the other contenders. Upgrading on Trenholm with someone like Denis would be a nice move, but I just don't see that happening. Even if they were in on someone like Mann (not sure on his health status) they need to move a D out for that to make sense, and who would that even be? |

While I can see the Wildcats wanting to add both Mann and Mateiko, I don't believe that Ritchie Thibeau would be willing to give up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Zielinski as a piece makes sense as well as, let's say, a 2nd round draft choice. If the Wildcats were to add a couple of younger rosters players - such as Natan Grenier (since 2 years have passed since the Daoust deal) and a forward - a deal may be possible. |

That deal would be far from "going all in" lol. Mateiko will be back next year as one of the top euros in the league and Mann is eligible to return as well. |
