Now you are speculating Killer. I could say "How do you know for his last junior eligible year Fullerton wouldn't prefer starting in junior A to being Mayer's backup?". Obviously in what I said you'd hope to never need to bring up Fullerton as that would mean Mayer is playing well and healthy. Its JB's call anyway. I like the idea of dressing a third 20 year old forward that can contribute instead of a 20 year old backup goalie. You don't. We're both entitled to that.

What happend between Sawyer and Gallant, wish i had of saw that...i would have loved to see gallant knock him out. I think if Pisanoi had another inter squad game against gallant, they'd go...we could tell then if he is legit.

Not likely to see Gallant fight in an intersquad game JB has asked that all returning players avoid fighting

I don;t think Fullerton will be the back up I think they will split the first half of the season quite evenly unless one really steps up

Pisano can wait until the games against Moncton ( if he is still here) to show what he can do.

From the fight I saw of Pisano I would hope him and Gallant don;t fight................he looked very inexperienced and left himself open to take some solid blows. I still can no believe he is listed at 6'6" 230, Looks more like the size of Alex Grant.

Still Fullerton probably wants to play lots of games because this is his last year of junior. I dont think he'll like sitting out everyother game when he can be a top goalie in JR. A and play tons.

In fact I'll even say you are likely correct. It is the safe option. I just presented another one that was a gamble for sure but one I'd like to see happen. Maybe it doesn't include Resendes if his play suddenly takes a turn for the worst. Maybe it does. It just applies to adding a third 20 year old forward to the mix. Also, I like Fullerton so that has nothing to do with it. I won't be upset if they go with him and 2 forwards, but I'd like to see some "calculated gambling" this year. I like this gamble. Nobody was crying about a Fullerton/Dupod tandem this year before we drafted Mayer. If a Mayer/Dupod(or young backup whoever) tandem is worse than a Fullerton/Dupod tandem, we never should have drafted Mayer.

I think he would be fine with splitting time with Mayer and show him the ropes of the Q Fullerton came to a Dogs team last year Killer knowing he'd be the starter. There was no possibility he was going to be a backup last year, so basically he left a Junior A starting job for one in the Q. Would he leave a Junior A starters job for a Q backup role? In his last year? Who knows. Its all speculation. I still say if all we were bitching about wanting before the Euro draft was forwards when we had Fullerton/Dupod, why are we suddenly afraid of Mayer/Dupod? If Mayer is not better than Fullerton then JB made a collossal mistake at the import draft and should have chosen a different goalie or a forward.

Nobody had a problem with Fullerton/Dupod because we know what we will get from them at this level......................the difference is pegging Mayer as starter right off the bat when he hasn;t even played a single minute in this league before. With the teams fighting for the last few playoff positions I think my first priority would be to have solid goaltending which we have and should get again from Fullerton. We should know a bit more after the preseason

How about this then? If Mayer shits the bed in pre-season I agree to keeping Fullerton around obviously. But if Mayer is playing close to Fullerton's level or better than Fullerton in the pre-season, Fullerton should be cut and we should go with a 20 year old forward, whoever that may be. (assuming one is available that can contribute offensively, be it Resendes or someone else.)
