How is Ryan looking in camp?
Most predictions on this site have him as the 4th line or 13th forward. Would he be better playing elsewhere with more ice?

Might as well pencil Souligny into the lineup. Per today's Herald article:
"Of those players, Souligny is likely already on the team because the registration deadline for Quebec’s CEGEP school system has come and gone and he’s still around. That’s usually a strong indicator that a 17-year-old Quebec-based player is here to stay."

In any other year im sure Halifax would keep him...but he wont get to play so sending him back to Notre Dame wouldnt be the worst thing for the kid.

Grant - Bety - Randell Gelinas - Andrews - Ashley Desjardins - Boudreau - Lemieux Ciampini - Turbide - MacDonald
Sounds like Souligny might be in and my guess is McGuigan though Warner's stock seems to be rising. Still a lot of time to figure out the final few cuts. Ryan has played well but could be sent back. Davis needs to up the energy a bit but is still in the mix.
D and goalies will be as expected... not sure yet if there's a #8 D kept. Desmarais has been great but at #8 with 7 experienced guys will he get the time he needs?
I don't necessarily think this will be how the lines start but... could be where they end up/what I think would work well.
Basically the top line is Bety replacing Knotek from last year. I know Desjardins and his line is playing great right now but like Lala mentioned... will they have enough finish? Andrews and Desjardins both like to shoot and both had poor shooting % last year without much finish. Gelinas stepping back into that line add some great hands in Gelinas who did very well finishing his chances last year. Boudreau seems to play well with most guys and he and Desjardins did well together in camp last year... Lemieux could work well with them or maybe MacDonald.

I'm surprised that I'm the only one who placed Frk in the opening lineup and this after I informed you that he would be here a month ago, also it appears that Masher be he a scout or not was accurate on Terenzio thus far. GO_MOOSE_GO

GO_MOOSE_GO I still think the odds are ok that he ends up on the team... just may take more than 2-3 weeks to get it done.

GO_MOOSE_GO Because right now, he is not here. And unless you are Bobby Smith who has to spend the money, nobody knows for sure that he will be here... we assume he will make it happen, but its not for sure yet.

GO_MOOSE_GO Since you seem to think you have the inside track on this information, can you tell us how the Frk situation will play out? Will the Mooseheads find a legal loophole or will they have to pay off his Czech team? And how much will they have to pay them?

GO_MOOSE_GO What are you on about? You claimed that he WOULD be in training camp. And where is he? "Just heard this morning that you can pencil Frk in the training camp lineup," is what you said.

Surprised to see everyone with Randall on the third line or worst. On a contender, he`s an ideal 3rd liner. But he was one of our top 3 scorers last year logging a ton of shutdown icetime too. I can`t see him dropping below the 2nd line. Surely he would be ahead of Bety and maybe even Grant in terms of scoring line potential. I cant really comment on lines as of yet (havent seen them) but I would think Randall would be in the mix on the top 2 lines. I dont think you will see all of Ashley, Andrews, Ciampini getting top 2 line ice, at least not until later in the year if they prove they can handle it. Really??? you havent been at camp! ashley / andrews / des line has been great! they will be scoring line 1 unless FRK comes to town. Dont think Randell will be on scoring line 3 but more of a checking line against the other teams top players. bety and randell alongside someone will make our checking line.

I said I hadnt seen camp... but wow some intersquad scrimmages and 1 game (seen) vs SJ`s partial actual roster? I`m sure they look good, all talented guys, but that hardly means they are ready to be a #1 line in the Q against top defenders on a nightly basis.

i agree they may not seem to be a top line on a nightly basis but its the best line we have. until bobby gets off his wallet and gets FRK over here. with i feel is going to be very hard! These poor kids that get stuck in these limbo's. Im sure at the point hes been told if he leaves for canada his chances to play the world juniors this year are down the toilet. GOD I LOVE CANADA!
