No game thread really, other than chsb`s mentioning of the game.... so here it is, in all its glory!
I would be surprised if we don`t put up 5+ against these guys, a weak team on the back-end.
They will probably score some goals on us... lets say 3.
MacKinnon as far as I know won`t be back. Lewis, Lovell, Falkenham out.
Speaking of Falkenham, any update on him? Still battling headaches etc?
Moose 7-3

I hope that was the last time we see those streamers. Annoying to have to clean that up off the ice.
Entertaining game so far. Awful call on Andrews. Brouillard is Running around. Him and weegar had something going all period.

When I said 6-2 clearly I was calling the score for after 2 periods only.

That assist drouin had against Chicoutimi just got trumped. That was ridiculous.

Congrats to the Mooseheads for clinching their first ever QMJHL regular season title. Home ice throughout the playoffs for as long as they last.

Also surprised to hear from Dom that Mac will not be making the trip to Quebec when he was initially due back today for this game.

Well... that was interesting. Goals came easy today, as I found for the most part we were going 75% once we realized Bathurst weren`t really going to put up much fight. In the defensive zone they seemed to be trying to clog up the middle of the zone and let us keep it outside. But they LITERALLY let us keep it lol. Fournier was able to just stand around behind the net without any pressure 5 on 5.
Love watching that Frk blast... and of course that shift by Drouin leading to an assist was awesome.
Again, like the SJ game though, it gets boring. Not that I am really complaining about blowing out a rival, but you can tell the body language of the players is even disinterested for the most part. I can`t wait until playoffs now that we clinched 1st - these last few weeks will be tough, just hoping to avoid injury basically.
Thought Murphy looked more confident than usual. Luca had a pretty good game in the aspect he doesn`t usually - controlling the puck in traffic, controlling it with a guy checking him etc. Boudreau looked like old Boudreau, making the most of his chances.
Everyone else was status quo... But as I said, Bathurst made it fairly easy to score goals... they try real hard in the offensive zone, but are a bit of a mess in the defensive zone.

Ugh... good to rest, especially now that we clinched... but certainly seems more serious than was thought. It was said he was hurt on the shift before the one where he limped off - I wonder if it was a twisted leg, knee, etc...

With first place overall clinched, there is NO reason to bring MacKinnon back before he is 100% ready. You want him healthy for the playoffs, to bring him back before then, other than to maybe get him in a couple of games to get back into the swing of things, get his timing back, would be idiotic. You know opposing teams wouldn't mind taking an extra (cheap) shot at him; no sense in risking that unnecessarily. They probably won't need him for their first series as they'll be playing the #16 seed (Shawinigan, Sherbrooke, etc.?). They can sit him for that series if they have to.
