Drouin is definately making a case for himself and although Drouin has the softest hands I've ever seen he's not going to be able to do the things he's been doing in the Q on a regular basis in the NHL, another thing to consider is that MacKinnon won't even be 18 until September, he's almost a full year younger than Jones and half a year younger than Drouin. It'll be an interesting draft for sure and it's hard to say who will be drafted first between Drouin and MacKinnon assuming Jones goes first. I personally think MacKinnon is more ready than Drouin to play in the NHL next year, it's hard to say which one of them will have the greater impact after that. It`s crazy that the team sitting 3rd or 4th can sit back, watch who everyone else pick, then take the superstar left over lol. It really seems like any of the top 5 guys could be the best player in the draft... No kidding, and it's been amazing that we've been able to watch 2 of them night in and night out here in Halifax. It was pretty cool when Tanguay and Nagy were together, and Voracek was a treat to watch, but we'll be hard pressed down the road to see 2 kids like Drouin and MacKinnon play together.

Yeah not many teams can say they've had two players playing together both of which are probably going to be drafted in the top 5 in the same year.

Nice moves, but not really jaw dropping.....lol. when you consider it was against a sucky team stuck in 14th place, and against 2 17 year old dmen, it's just not as sweet.......Can he do the same against a team that will actually play the body? Lalancette, who he danced around and through twice at the start, just chased the puck around......Not sure why somebody don't teach these Bathurst players that it is legal to make some physical contact.......with the talent on this team it is a shame that we have to watch crap game after game. It was mostly Lalancette - who you guys praised endlessly coming into the year - that he abused there. 2 dangles practically standing still, goes and gets his own rebound by the boards knocking down Lalancette in the process, turns back at the net and quickly eludes another guy, swing down low and simply slides the puck out front for an easy tap in... how often do you see players do that? Not to mention national media and hockey fans across North America have been drooling over the play, and I`d say its a pretty impressive sequence. And yes, his 2.1 PPG or whatever it is would indicate he doesn`t have much problem with older defensemen or physical teams either. But yes, Lalancette`s sloppy effort was pretty typical of the whole team on this day... most of them looked like they were expecting a loss from the get go. If Lalancette had even attempted to play the body, he wouldn't have looked so silly......I know he was praised coming into the year......the whole team has been disappointing for the most part.....I'm just saying it's a lot easier to do that to a team that looks like they just want to go home, than one that came to play. yes Drouin does have 2.1 ppg....how many 3 and 4 point games does he have against the bottom feeders though? that tends to inflate things a bit.

Why do I get the feeling that if I respond to this seriously porchop will say "haha you're so stupid, I was baiting you". And If I respond suggesting he's baiting he will vehemently deny said accusation I don't do that anymore.......apparently Moose fans take everything too seriously and do a lot of complaining to the mods. This is a new board, new look, and Porky is also fresh out of rehab and only into solid discussion, the little that I am around......I even broke my vow to not post on this board, just to get into a good discussion. HOw could anyone disagree that he looked good against a team that wanted to go home, asap?

About the same as the Quebec and PEI types as far as scoring. Moose never ran it up that much against the bottom teams. He was his average in many and very few with less.

The one thing about Drouin is that he has been pretty consistent and not so much beat up on the weak teams. His 4+ point nights have been against: PEI, Drummondville, Rouyn-Noranda, Bathurst, Quebec, Chicoutimi and Saint John so that's pretty level. It's the same with his 3 point games. As much against top-half teams as it is against bottom half teams.

Now stop trying to take a thread off topic.

That would be a good point if it wasn't for the fact Drouin's four-point game vs Saint John was few days ago! He didn't get 4 points in the game in November. You're getting as bad as Porkchop saying Halifax has below average goaltending despite the fact that over the last three months Fucale has been the best goalie in the league!

I've never said Halifax has below average goaltending. I have said Fucale's save % was average, for the caliber of player he was supposed to be. He has played well lately and that save % is coming up around where I thought it should have been all season.
