All I can say about the Drouin Goal I just watched on TSN..................is DAMMMMNNNN that was awesome . He apparently wants to play "only" for the Habs so I can't wait to see him with Galchenyuk . That pretty much assures us a #1 Line for 10 years . Where on earth would you hear that? I`ve never heard him say anything other than the boilerplate "I`m not thinking about the draft right now, I will be happy wherever I get picked" etc

Ciampini, Boudreau, and to a lesser extent Ashley have all been streaky this year, let's just hope they're all on a hot streak come playoffs because any team they play will be attempting to put the clamps on the first line and they'll need production from the second line. Boudreau - last 8 games, 4G 10A 14pts.......previous 8 games, 0G 3A Ashley - last 8 games, 6G 7A 13pts......previous 7 games, 0pts Ciampini - last 8 games, 4G 11A 15pts......previous 9 games 0pts If the Moose can get any consistency from the 2nd line, the league is theirs to lose. I really think production from that line will be a huge key to playoff success. MacKinnon and Drouin (together and individually) are good enough to carry a team for long stretches. But strange things happen during the playoffs. Only takes a few bad games to everything to come crashing down. When that 2nd line is a threat, we're a different team IMO. Hopefully they can keep this hot streak going......or even when they do cool off a bit, not go cold for half a dozen games in a row. Their inconsistency hasn't been as exaggerated as the numbers I listed, but I'm sure if you looked back over the season, it would be full of ups and downs.

just saw the Drouin show, er the 'assist', via TSN.ca.....sick moves. I've heard so much more about him in the media than Nathan MacKinnon lately.

Usually see Rick Grant at the games, he is a season ticket holder. Only guy I would give the story to, as he actaully follows and knows about the team. Paul Hollingsworth could do a good story lol. I could see him now standing near the sign in Cole Harbour where he is reporting. Today we are talking about Jonathan Drouin who plays on a line with Cole Harbour native Nathan MacKinnon who is very comparable to Sidney Crosby. Well since I mentioned Sidney Crosby lets discuss how he is doing this year. Blah blah blah

But so does the poinbt Drouin has climbed up the Draft rankings, League Point leader, making Team Canada and doing well, plus almost becoming a one and a half year junior player before going PRO. That plays a part too.

So nice... wish he scored on the first shot, but chasing the puck down and doing it again was nice too. Moose have a highlight reel too, but I find you can see it better on John Moore`s video. Nice moves, but not really jaw dropping.....lol. when you consider it was against a sucky team stuck in 14th place, and against 2 17 year old dmen, it's just not as sweet.......Can he do the same against a team that will actually play the body? Lalancette, who he danced around and through twice at the start, just chased the puck around......Not sure why somebody don't teach these Bathurst players that it is legal to make some physical contact.......with the talent on this team it is a shame that we have to watch crap game after game.

It was mostly Lalancette - who you guys praised endlessly coming into the year - that he abused there. 2 dangles practically standing still, goes and gets his own rebound by the boards knocking down Lalancette in the process, turns back at the net and quickly eludes another guy, swing down low and simply slides the puck out front for an easy tap in... how often do you see players do that? Not to mention national media and hockey fans across North America have been drooling over the play, and I`d say its a pretty impressive sequence. And yes, his 2.1 PPG or whatever it is would indicate he doesn`t have much problem with older defensemen or physical teams either. But yes, Lalancette`s sloppy effort was pretty typical of the whole team on this day... most of them looked like they were expecting a loss from the get go.
